I wanted to show you some of the other photos we received in our comp before telling you who the winners are…… it is going to be hard to judge the 5 winners.  Luckily Matilda, Emma, Maddie, Abbey & Olivia are all going to help me tomorrow!

We received this message and photo from Lily:

Hi FC girls!

Here is a photo of me up at Pittwater with a bucket of crabs I just collected with my cousin. We let them go of course, but we had fun catching them in the rocks. If it is sunny tomorrow, I plan to go fishing. I love fishing.

And then this message from Maddie and her cousin Eve

This is my cousin Eve. She is 5 years old and she loves forever clover! On boxing day she hurt herself on the trampoline and now she has to wear a brace. She is always looking at my cards and telling me the ones her older sister has and Eve doesn’t have any so I give her my doubles. We enjoy coloring in together and looking through my album. Her favorite cards are the three joining glitter cards.

Gracie, Lila & Priya

Hi friends

We got the best email yesterday from Gracie and some really cute snaps of Gracie and her sisters, Lila and Priya, acting out their favourite Forever Clover swap cards overlooking the river at Hawthorne, Brisbane.

Here is some of Gracie’s message and her pics!

Dear Kate,

…Before we went to the movies we asked mum and dad if we could go down to the park on the river and take a photo of us dressed up with our favourite FC cards.  The river was high tide and it was beautiful!  We watched the ferry take people across the river and drop them off on the other side in town.  Each time a ferry passed by, the water splashed up onto the path and we got really wet!  It was so much fun!

Mum took 2 photos under a beautiful big tree, overlooking the river at Hawthorne.

The first is of Priya dressed up as Emma.  Emma is her favourite because she also LOVES wearing necklaces, anything pink, butterflies and mostly loves to do ballet all day long.

The second photo is of Lila (on the right) and I.  We were holding up our 2 favourite cards – Kate and Matilida horseriding; and Kate and Matilda listening to music under a tree that Zac had climbed.

(And here is the card of Matilda and me that Gracie and Lila acted out – so cool!)

I was dressed as Kate because I love that she has a cat, Zac (we have 2 cats in our household, Toto is 2 and Luciano is 1). Kate loves music and I love playing the piano. I too don’t like it when people pollute the environment and I also LOVE school. 

Lila was dressed as Matilda because she always wears jeans and she LOVES animals (and wants to live on a farm when she grows up).  Matilda wears a funky watch and this year Santa gave Lila a big aqua watch for Christmas. Matilda also doesn’t like meat, and in our family we are all vegetarians!

We had the best time at the park, playing forever clover and ‘Hugo’ was truly amazing!

Happy Australia Day girls.

What did you do today? Ashley, went to the beach and sent us this email and photo for our holiday comp!  How funny is that giant thong!

Hi fc girls today we are at the beach for Australia day & we got a giant inflatable thong! We are having so much fun and we are having chips on the beach for dinner

My favorite cards are Kate and Olivia at the beach.

I love the beach so much.  It was a great idea to take the photo at the beach Ashley.

Phoebe & Thistle

Phoebe sent in the best holiday snap.  I love it!

I am having a holiday at my Auntie Becky’s farm in western Victoria with my little cousins Kurt and Fleur.

I showed her my Forever Clover swap cards and I played that I was Kate in the orchard holding my favourite swap cards and Thistle the farm cat.

Here is a photo that we took that looks just like my favourite swap card.

Thanks heaps Phoebe.  Good luck in the comp!  That is soooo cool how you cut my name out with paper and put it on the ground like in the swap card.  That must have taken you ages! And I love how you stood beneath an apple tree holding your cat just like in the swap card (below).

I love a mystery at the quarry!

I had the best day today. I can feel a mystery coming on! Abbey, Kate and I went for a walk to the quarry.  We thought we would relax, go for swim and tidy up our secret club house a little.  At the top of the quarry, before the winding path down, we noticed big fat tyre marks in the sandy dirt, from a truck or a big 4 wheel drive.  The tyre marks stood out because we have never ever seen a car this far into the bush land where the quarry is located.  It made the 3 of us a little nervous about walking down to our club house.  Luckily we had brave Abbey with us who charged ahead.  I think she was hoping to find someone!

Well everything seemed normal at the base of the quarry and our secret club house had not been discovered.  Thank goodness.  So we quickly forgot about the car tyres and had a lovely afternoon.  But when we walked home at the end of the day, the car tyre marks had disappeared.  I so know that we didn’t dream them – they were there. All 3 of us saw them.  I wonder what is going on.  I am sure I am not going crazy! Who drove a car up so close to the quarry and who then swept over the tyre marks?  Hmmmm…..I love a mystery!  I hope it’s an interesting one!

On another note, I got an email from Lily today and a great colouring in! I love it.

I coloured this picture in for you…I thought very hard about which colours you would like.  I would love it if you put it up on the blog.

I was hot today.  Were you hot?  What did you do to get cool?  I emptied a whole tray of ice cubes onto a deck chair and sat on top of them! It wasn’t very comfortable but I was cool!

I just got back from a great camping trip but I didnt know about the photo competition so I didnt have my cards with me. Instead I thought I would send you a photo of the best friends I made when I was away.  They are 3 sisters Mikala, Talisha, and Hataya, and thats me with the red top on, Georgie. I dont have any brothers or sisters so its so much fun when I meet other girls when we are away. We swam, played on a jumpy pillow, trampoline and playground, they were so nice. My favourite FC girl is matilda and I have collected 54 cards now.

Competition Time

OK, I am feeling like we should have some fun and give away some cards and tins.  Given most of us are all still on school holidays, I have a fun idea.  Take a photo of you and a Forever Clover swap card out and about and the 5 best photos will receive a collector tin of their choice and a packet of swap cards.

So for example, you might take a photo of you and a swap card at the zoo in front of the zoo sign, or at the beach or in front of the Opera House!  Anything really. Be creative and send it to us before 5pm on Friday 27 January.  I can’t wait to see what fun you guys are having on your holidays.
