and Anabel drew this great picture of Maddie playing basketball.  I am going to show it to her tomorrow.  She will think it’s great. I am sure she will feel very special indeed.

It’s hot

Another hot summer’s day friends.  What did you do?  I read my book this morning and then I went for a swim in my dam with my brothers and sister.

Dad built us a raft on the weekend and we had so much fun paddling it out to the small island in the middle of the dam.  We are using oars from a blow up boat to paddle us around.

I love swimming in the dam.  Emma hates it!  She hates that you can’t see the bottom of the dam and she wonders what might be lurking in the muddy water.  The muddy water doesn’t bother me at all and I have never even felt a fish or an eel!  It is no different to swimming in the quarry…but Emma hates swimming in there too!

Meet Chloe

Hi friends

It is New Year’s Eve and we are having a big party at Kate’s house with all of us Forever Clover girls and our families.  It is going to be so much fun.  Kate’s mum suggested we all come dressed in Hawaiian dress and wear flowers around our necks.  I can’t wait to get ready.

I thought I would just send you girls a quick message to say Happy New Year and have the best time tonight with your family and friends.  Write and tell me about what you are planning to do.  Is anyone going to see any fireworks?

Before I go I wanted to introduce Chloe, a new member of the FC Club.  She sent us this message and some photos.  Thanks Chloe.  I am so happy that you joined our club.  Send us heaps of messages because we love getting them!

We went to Halls Gap on Boxing day. Me and my sisters did a lot of swimming. Here is a photo of me on Christmas day and a another photo of us walking our dogs in Halls Gap. We had great fun. Love from Chloe

Lotus (10 years) sent in the most amazing drawing/water colour she did of a horse.  I love it.  Lotus, I think you and I would have lots in common (loving horses that is because I can’t draw!).  Did you add glitter?  Does your horse have a name?

I wish I was as creative as Lotus and Maddy! We had art at school today and we had to make a star for the top of our Christmas tree.  My star looks very lop sided & I am not sure it is even going to stand up.  Mum says that she loves it (but I think she is just being polite so she doesn’t hurt my feelings!).  We are going to get our Christmas tree on the weekend…so we will see if we can get my star to sit on top of the tree!

Cows at the quarry

The most bizarre thing happened when we all went to the quarry yesterday.  On our walk there we found cows.  Now I know that cows are not unusual…we have cows on our farm…but cows are unusual at the top of the quarry.  They were actually very friendly cows and they all had ear tags.  They even came up to us.  Emma was a bit scared of them.  She is not used to large animals they way I am and she hid behind a tree! I think she thought the  bigger one was a bull and it was going to charge her.  I told her it was the mum and the calf was her baby!  She still didn’t want to pat her.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

These cows are obviously used to people.  I wonder where they have come from?  And I wonder why they came to the top of the quarry. I wonder if we hadn’t found them if they would have walked down the steep muddy track to the bottom of the quarry? Now that would have really given Emma a fright!

Monday mish mash

Olivia sent us this photo of her growing collection of Forever Clover swap cards.  You have got one of the rare glitter cards. Cool Olivia!

After reading the blog on the weekend about Olivia winning a gymnastics trophy, Maddy sent us this picture of a trophy she won.  I wonder what she won it for.  Has anyone seen a trophy like this before?

Bianca’s story

Hi girls!

Bianca sent us this story that she made up.  Have a read.

“One day there were 6 bff’s and 1 was called Olivia , 1 was called Kate, 1 was called Matilda, 1 was called Emma, 1 was called Abbey and 1 was called Maddie.

They loved their pets so much that all 6 girls went to the cute pet contest. Their team was called the “4 leaf clover” team. There were other teams like the “funky pink” team and the “posh black and purple”team and so on. On the day of the contest the “4 leaf clover” team was up first.  All the girls from the other teams were not very nice to Abbey and Emma because they thought that their team had a really bad name.  When it came to giving their speech about why their pets should win, the Forever Clover girls picked Emma and Abbey to do the speech. They talked about all of the pets and also about why they called their team the “4 leaf clovers”. The other teams said sorry to them and apologised for making fun of their team name.  They said that they wished their teams had such a cool name.  After the speech the Forever Clover girls found out that they won the competition with their pets!!!!!

They had a very happy day!
