and Anabel drew this great picture of Maddie playing basketball.  I am going to show it to her tomorrow.  She will think it’s great. I am sure she will feel very special indeed.

Best friends

Georgie sent me this message:

Hi Emma

This is me and my best friend Kya. We are pretty crazy when we are together but we have so much fun. Kya goes to school with me and she gave me my first forever clover cards and tin.  Kya and I both dont have any brothers or sisters either so we love to do things together. We told our mums we were going to save up to by a caravan together and travel around Australia, funny hey. We are’nt in the same class this year at school though, probably because we giggle too much when we are together!

I know how you feel Georgie.  Kate and I were split up from the rest of the FC girls this year and we were a little sad.  We do all giggle lots in class and so that is probably why they split us up! At least we get to hang out at recess and lunch.  And at least Kate and I are together.

How was you first day back at school?

How was your first day back at school?  Did you get all your besties in your class? This year Matilda, Abbey, Olivia and Maddy are in one class with Ms Bond and Emma and I are in the other class with Mr Clarke.  I was a bit sad when I realised that we wouldn’t all be together but it doesn’t matter.  We see each other at recess and lunch and then again after school anyway!

I was also nervous starting school last week because I heard that Mr Clarke is very strict and a bit scary!  Well, a few days in and I think he is great.  He is so funny and he loves to make up his own stories and share them with the class.  He is writing a kid’s comedy show for TV and he says that he needs to try out his jokes on us to see whether we laugh.

On Monday we are voting for class captain.  I really want to be class captain but I bet one of the boys gets elected because there are more boys than girls in our class. Emma will vote for me…but I will need more than one vote!  Do you have class captains at your school?

I got a really cute email from FC Clubber Jasmine today.  She sent us a photo of her and her toy sheep Ba-Ba dressed up as her favourite Forever Clover swap card.  Jasmine says she loves that card because “it is sparkly and it has kittens and bunnies on it – and thankyou for listening to my story”.  Thanks Jasmine.

Did you know that it the rarest of all the Forever Clover swap cards? It’s the gold card! Anyway, a free packet of swap cards is coming your way in the mail for sending in that photo.  We love it (& Ba-Ba too!).

Kimberley asked me today if she could draw one of the Forever Clover pets in the February drawing comp.  I thought that was a great idea and so I said YES.  So I wanted to tell the rest of you.

So for the comp you can draw any or all of the FC girls or you can draw any or all of the pets.  I wonder who Kimberley will choose??? I hope it’s Minty and Molly (although I am a little biased!).

I am very happy and the other FC girls are a bit jealous!  FC Club member Olivia chose to draw me for the Feb drawing comp!  I think she did a wonderful job.  I am not a very good drawer…but this Olivia is super talented.  Take a look!

Georgie wanted to share this message with all of us.

This is me and my beautiful little rosie I got her for my birthday when she was only 6 weeks old.  Just like Abbey and Moby we spend lots of time playing together outside and she loves her ball.  We took some photos together with my favourite Abbey and Moby card.  I also have an 11yr old blue heeler called cooper, 2 budgies called McSquizzy and Emma and 5 fish called, skunk, saffron, jeff, rainbow trout 2, and ben, I love my pets they make me happy.

Thanks Georgie.  McSquizzy is a very funny name for a budgie!  And I love the name of your fish – rainbow trout 2 (what happened to rainbow trout 1??). Moby makes me happy too.  I love playing with him and tickling his tummy.  I love riding my bike with Moby running alongside me.  He is such a good friend and I talk to him all the time.

Asha was naughty tonight.  We went down to the beach and she ran straight over the top of a little girl’s sandcastle!  To Asha it was just a pile of sand.  To the little girl it was a master piece – destroyed.  I felt so bad for her that I sat down and helped her to re-build it – shells, feathers, rocks and all (which was actually quite fun!). Oh Asha….

What trouble does your pet get into? I’d love to hear your stories!

Back to school tomorrow! I am sad, excited and nervous all at the same time.  Sad that my holiday is over.  Excited to see all my friends again and nervous about my new teacher.  I hope she is nice and not too strict!
